Craigrowan is a mid-Victorian house,modernised and upgraded but still retaining many of its original features.It is set in 15acres of croftland on the edge of the peaceful village of Strontian at the head of beautiful Loch Sunart.
We have just two guest bedrooms, one double with en-suite shower room, and a twin with private bathroom. Both are attractive, warm and comfortable, with tea/coffee making facilities, and a TV. A cot and high chair are available.

Craigrowan is ideally situated for exploring the peninsulas of Ardnamurchan and Morvern, and is within easy reach of the ferry from Lochaline to the Isle of Mull.
Ardnamurchan is famous for its variety of wildlife, and the patient visitor may be rewarded by the sight of otters, deer, Golden and Sea Eagles and many other native species.
Strontian is also an easy drive from Fort William, and of course Ben Nevis, GlenCoe, and the West Highland rail-line(of Harry Potter fame!

Our croft is a mixture of rough hill and deciduous woods, and borders a beautiful forest walk.We are part of the Rural Stewardship Scheme, and graze Highland cattle to encourage the growth of indigenous wild flowers, which in turn support large numbers of birds, butterflies etc. Our hens are truly free-range, laying delicious eggs for your breakfast, and our delightful pig Bertha will appreciate your attention (preferably accompanied by food).You are welcome to wander over the croft (bring your wellies!) Stalking can be arranged in season.
There are many local walks, as easy or strenuous as you wish, and we offer drying facilities just in case it rains.There is plenty of off-road parking and bikes/motor bikes can be kept under cover.

Although we are happy to be members of the Ardnamurchan Tourist Association we do not subscribe to any quality assurance scheme.We know we offer high quality accommodation and a great breakfast in a slightly unusual setting, but we would definitely lose points on our mis-matched furniture and total lack of trouser press! However, none of our guests, so far,has been too worried at less than immaculate jeans, but we do have a very good iron if necessary!
